Nick Johnson, owner of Johnson Engine Performance, was born and raised in Greenfield, IN. He still lives there with his family.

He was always interested how engines worked and seeing how much can be done with them. Growing up and going to Goodguys Car Shows, he would be amazed by all the different types of cars, restorations, rebuilds and modifications.

After high school, he finally got his chance. He bought a used Mustang and started working on it himself. He learned how to do everything from changing the oil to rebuilding the engine.

“Working on my Mustang taught me a lot about cars and engines. It also taught me how to be patient and how to take pride in my work. I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to build my own car. It was a great experience that I'll never forget.”

For the past 5 years, he has built engines for a variety of different powersports vehicles, motorcycles, ATVs, side by sides, and snowmobiles to name a few. I've learned a lot along the way, and I'm always looking for new challenges.

“These days, I'm mostly focused on building engines for powersports vehicles. I love the feeling of being able to take a stock engine and turn it into a high-performance machine that can handle anything I throw at it.”
